The CrossThe image of the Cross fills my vision. It is harsh but vivid, it and the small rise it stands on are set against a dull and empty background. Christ hangs on the Cross, tired but still alive. I stand at the foot of the hill, close but far enough away to see well. I look down a my heart, I have no trouble seeing it. It is disgusting. There is a rotten, slimy stump sitting in the bottom of it. Black and twisted, it is both decaying and thriving, sending it's rotting roots throughout my heart.
